Job description

Role Title: Infrastructure Manager - End User Compute Lead

Location: Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid)

As the Infrastructure Manager working as part of the Technology Service Delivery Team at RMG, you will be responsible for managing 35,000 connected users and 21,500 end user devices, including laptops and desktops, across RMG’s nationwide infrastructure estate. You will work cross-functionally with various internal technology teams and manage multiple outsourced suppliers to deliver projects and services across RMG’s end user estate.

You’ll oversee Annual Evergreen OS Feature upgrades, monthly patching, application packaging, zero-day browser vulnerabilities, and other responsibilities within a large user estate. No two days are the same in this dynamic, business-critical role!

What will you do?

You will be responsible for:

• Managing Microsoft OS Gold Image
• Hardware refresh of laptops and desktops through an established delivery process
• Deploying Annual Microsoft Evergreen OS Updates across a 21,500-user estate
• Monthly Security Patching
• Application Packaging and deployment via SCCM
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across Service Management, Architecture, and Cybersecurity
• Building strong relationships with outsourced providers
• Proactively managing security, risk, and compliance across the End User estate
• Approving Incident, Request, and Change Management processes

What skills and experience should you have?

• Expertise in End User Compute technologies including Microsoft Windows 11, SCCM, Internet Browsers, and M365
• Experience with the ServiceNow platform
• Experience in aligning projects and advising on Business Case Financials
• Experience supporting large organizations and communicating with Senior Leadership Teams
• Experience managing End Users via telemetry integration, persona management, and automation/self-service
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholders, business colleagues, suppliers, and technology teams regarding EUC activities
• Natural collaborator, energetic, and enthusiastic about cross-functional delivery
• ITIL Foundation certification
