Spirax Group in Cheltenham seeks an experienced Global Infrastructure Manager to lead our newly formed Infrastructure Operations function. You will drive operational excellence, resilience, and governance across a complex estate while building and guiding a team of regional leads and professionals.

You will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to modernise infrastructure, improve operations, manage disaster recovery readiness and deliver strategic transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading regional or global infrastructure teams in a complex enterprise.
• Strong background in infrastructure operations: servers, virtualisation, storage, backup and lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing operating models, governance and service management best practices.
• Experience with data centre or co‑location migrations and supplier management.

Infrastructure Manager

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

The role:

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Global Infrastructure Manager to lead our newly formed Global Infrastructure Operations function. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, resilience and technical governance across a complex global infrastructure estate while developing and leading a team of Regional Infrastructure Leads and infrastructure professionals.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and delivery partners, you will play a key role in infrastructure modernisation, operational improvement, disaster recovery readiness and the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the organisation. Global travel will be required as part of the role.

• Lead, coach and develop Regional Infrastructure Leads and the wider global infrastructure team.
• Establish and maintain a consistent global operating model, including governance, standards, ownership and ways of working.
• Oversee the availability, resilience and supportability of on-premise infrastructure including servers, virtualisation, storage, backup and hosting environments.
• Drive infrastructure modernisation, estate optimisation and technical debt reduction initiatives.
• Own infrastructure risk, compliance, disaster recovery readiness and audit requirements.
• Lead major incident management and support continuous service improvement through KPIs, SLAs and supplier performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate CMDB records, technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.
• Support the selection, implementation and migration of infrastructure into co-location environments.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and technology teams to deliver strategic infrastructure roadmaps.

Your experience:

• Proven experience leading regional or global infrastructure teams within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong background in infrastructure operations, including servers, virtualisation, storage, backup, recovery, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing operating models, governance frameworks and service management best practices.
• Demonstrable experience of infrastructure modernisation, technical debt reduction and estate optimisation programmes.
• Experience supporting data centre or co-location initiatives, including migration planning and supplier management.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery, resilience testing, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Experience improving service performance through KPIs, SLAs, incident reviews and supplier governance.
• Inspirational leadership with the ability to coach, develop and motivate distributed teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, balancing operational demand with strategic projects.
• Analytical and solution-focused approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Strong governance mindset with a focus on risk, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Commercial awareness and experience working with suppliers and external partners.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across global teams and drive positive change.
