Job summary

Axians UK is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to lead and shape the IT infrastructure strategy across networks, servers, storage, virtualisation and cloud. You will own end-to-end design, delivery and operational integrity for hybrid environments, ensuring security, resilience and cost-effectiveness aligned to business priorities.

You will manage a multi-site team, drive continual service improvement, supplier performance and governance while partnering with security and project teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading infrastructure operations and engineering teams.
• Accountable for infrastructure performance, budgets and delivery commitments.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise networking, data centres, cloud and hybrid infra.
• Experience with public cloud and hybrid infrastructure governance and security.
• Experience managing major incidents, changes and lifecycle planning.
• Strong supplier management, budgeting and cost-control capabilities.
• Understanding of information security standards and ISO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure strategy, roadmap, standards and operating model.
• Lead design, delivery and operation of LAN/WAN, network services and cloud assets.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, security and lifecycle health.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, configurations and support documentation.
• Provide leadership and line management for the infrastructure function.
• Govern cloud/hybrid infrastructure, including cost control and security.
• Drive migration from on-premises to cloud where appropriate and safe.
• Manage incidents, changes and problems with ITIL-aligned controls.
• Oversee patching, endpoint protection, backups and disaster recovery.
• Direct infrastructure projects from design to operational handover.
