Job summary
Synapse360 is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Manchester to provide advanced first-line operational support across managed services. You will independently monitor platforms, triage incidents, and validate backups in cloud and on-prem environments.
The role includes a weekly 24×7 on-call rota, with strong emphasis on ITIL processes, ServiceNow ticketing, and cross-functional coordination with T2/T3 engineers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years in enterprise infrastructure support
- Experience with LogicMonitor and Azure Monitor for alert triage
- Proficient with ServiceNow ITSM ticket lifecycle
- Strong Windows Server admin skills (2016/2019/2022)
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere and Azure VM operations
- Backup validation experience with Veeam and Azure Backup
- Willing to participate in a 1-in-5 weekly on-call rota
Responsibilities
- Monitor and triage alerts across environments
- Manage incident lifecycle in ServiceNow and escalate as needed
- Validate backups and monitor Azure Backup/RSV
- Assist with patching and server reboots during maintenance windows
- Provide first-response for P1 incidents and support on-call rotation
- Maintain runbooks and knowledge base articles
