Job summary

Cowi is growing its Infrastructure Design team in the UK, seeking an Engineer (Highways and Drainage) to support multidisciplinary projects across the country. You will design and coordinate highways and drainage elements, ensuring integrated, buildable solutions.

You’ll work from concept through to construction, be seconded to major programmes for on-site experience, and collaborate with engineers, authorities and clients to deliver value, quality and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
• Be progressing towards CEng or IEng.
• Experience in highways, drainage, utilities or development infrastructure.
• Experience using Civil 3D, InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure across highways, drainage and utilities from concept to detail.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and design reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions.
• Engage with clients and authorities and support project managers.
• Undertake site visits and review design risk assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards.
