Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Commercial Director based in the United Kingdom to lead the commercial function across bidding, procurement, forecasting, cost control and reporting. You will ensure governance, risk management and commercial controls while providing strategic leadership to drive growth and profitability.

The role requires strong senior stakeholder engagement and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial leadership to support growth objectives
• Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team for accountability and improvement
• Drive commercial awareness across operations and bidding, procurement, forecasting, cost control and reporting
• Ensure governance, compliance and risk management across contracts
• Negotiate NEC contracts and oversee contract administration
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, CVRs, reviews and margin analysis
• Provide real-time visibility of project performance, profitability, opportunities and risks to senior leadership
• Oversee valuations, payments, cash flow and commercial controls
• Build strategic supplier and subcontractor relationships to maximise value and minimise risk
• Develop and optimise ERP and commercial management systems for reporting efficiency
• Support major bids, tenders and growth opportunities
• Present commercial performance and strategic recommendations at Board level
