Job summary

Fox Red Recruitment Ltd in Great Dunmow is seeking an Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer to join a growing MSP. This hands-on role supports Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows infrastructure, networking, backup and disaster recovery, and includes technical project work.

You will work hybrid, with initial 3 days per week and potential progression to full-time, providing L2/L3 support and managing cloud migrations and security projects for multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy knowledge.
• Networking fundamentals including DNS/DHCP/VPNs.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 technical support across Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers and networks
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
• Manage endpoint environments, including monitoring, patching and deployment
• Troubleshoot networking, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs and multi-site connectivity
• Manage and test backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Support cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades and security projects
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and customer records
• Take ownership of issues through to resolution and provide excellent customer service

Location: Great Dunmow, Essex

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 FTE, depending on experience

Hours: Initially 3 days per week, with the opportunity to progress to full-time

Working: Hybrid / Client-facing MSP environment

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider.

This is a hands‑on role supporting a range of clients across Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, backup and disaster recovery, alongside technical project work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 technical support across Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers and networks
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
• Manage endpoint environments, including monitoring, patching and deployment

About You

Experience with Datto RMM, Hyper‑V/VMware, Microsoft Defender, Autopilot, Conditional Access or PowerShell would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a methodical troubleshooting approach and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently, dealing directly with customers and taking ownership of technical issues.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing MSP, with scope to develop into technical project delivery and potentially a Technical Project Lead / IT Project Management position.
