Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Technical Support / Infrastructure Administrator in Birkenhead. This role covers day-to-day user support and management of the wider server, cloud and virtual infrastructure, with a strong BAU element and opportunities to work on projects.

You will work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, Windows Server and Hyper-V, plus networking, security, backups and disaster recovery. Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Directory and Group Policy are required.
• VM deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Networking and security administration experience.
• User support and helpdesk experience required.
• Backup and disaster recovery knowledge is essential.
• Experience administering Google Workspace would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to users.
• Manage and maintain the wider server, cloud and virtual infrastructure.
• Involved in projects and improvements across the environment.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

We’re working with an established professional services business where technology plays a huge part in how the organisation operates day-to-day.

They’re looking for an experienced Technical Support / Infrastructure Administrator to join the team, taking ownership across both user support and the wider infrastructure estate.

THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT / INFRASTRUCTURE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE:

This is a really varied position for someone who enjoys getting involved across the full IT estate.

You’ll provide day-to-day technical support to users whilst also managing and maintaining the wider server, cloud and virtual infrastructure. There’s a strong BAU element, but you’ll also be involved in projects and improvements across the environment, so it’s a role that should keep you on your toes.

You’ll work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, Windows Server and Hyper-V, alongside networking, security, backups and disaster recovery.
