The Senior Consultant, Demand & Small Change Manager plays a key role in the Infrastructure Solutions team, guiding demand from CIO and business units and coordinating delivery through internal teams or external suppliers.

The role emphasizes governance, capacity planning, and continuous improvement, with focus on risk management and stakeholder communication across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure implementation with governance and risk awareness.
• Experience with Service Request, Change and/or Demand processes.
• Excellent project management skills, cross-functional leadership, and budgeting capabilities.
• Solid understanding of risk management for cloud and legacy infra.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage small project and BAU demand policy, forecast and capacity planning.
• Convert requirements into small project work items with scope and costs.
• Assess delivery by Intact, internal teams, or 3rd party suppliers; finalise scope and costs.
• Track vendor performance and ensure governance and compliance.
• Maintain records of current and past demand projects including costs.
• Identify automation opportunities and document processes clearly.
• Provide continuous improvement to Demand & Small Change processes.

Win as a Team:

The Senior Consultant, Demand & Small Change Manger will operate within the Infrastructure Solutions team. With a responsibility for managing the inbound demand from the CIO & business teams and managing the efficient workflow of each demand item through the completion & approval.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Monitoring and managing the small project and Business As Usual demand policy process and procedures for infrastructure requirements. Including demand forecasting/scheduling and supporting with the capacity planning whilst implementing standards. Including project planning, execution & monitoring.
• Working with the relevant Infrastructure team members to understand the scope of the requirements, and then convert this into a small project work requirement.
• Based on available capacity, assessing whether this should be delivered by Intact, internal teams or 3rd party supplier delivery activity. Then work with the supplier to finalise the scope; dependencies; success/acceptance criteria and cost.
• Tracking and reporting on vendor performance to ensure they are working to defined governance & compliance processes. While achieving project delivery commitments
• Maintaining a track of all current and prior demand small projects. Including costs & estimate accuracy
• Monitoring and improving how requests can be further automated by keeping track of progress. Spotting new opportunities, and ensuring clear documentation for both manual and automated processes.
• Providing continuous improvement to the Demand & Small Change processes.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience in infrastructure implementation, alongside internal and external governance experience with regulators and risk areas.
• Experience with Service Request, Change and/or Demand processes.
• Excellent project management skills. Including experience in leading cross-functional teams, defining project scope, developing project plans, and managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
• A solid understanding of risk management principles. Including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with cloud computing & legacy infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills. With the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating meetings and building relationships.
• Process-driven with excellent attention to detail.
• A background in Project Management or PMO experience.
• Experience delivering continuous service improvements for the business.
• Keep skills up to date and maintain awareness of developments in the IT industry, and particularly all technology elements within the Core Technology &Operations (CT&O) Infrastructure area.
• Organisational, analytical and numeracy skills.
