Job Title: IT Manager – Retail

Location: Birmingham / Full-Time / Onsite (5 Days/Week

I’m looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Manager to lead IT operations for a multi-site retail business.

This role is responsible for ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective IT systems that support daily operations and long-term growth.

The role involves leading a small internal IT team, managing third-party MSPs, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

•Team Leadership: Lead and develop the IT team, setting objectives, managing performance, and fostering a service-focused culture.

•IT Infrastructure: Oversee networks, servers, endpoints, cloud systems, and backups. Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure system availability and security.

•Support & Service: Manage the helpdesk, ensure SLA adherence, resolve issues, and report on support metrics and system performance.

•Vendor Management: Oversee MSPs and technology partners, ensuring service quality and contract compliance across multiple sites.

•Systems Administration: Administer ERP, WMS, POS, Microsoft 365, and security platforms. Manage access, integrations, and updates.

•Cybersecurity & Compliance: Enforce IT security policies, align with GDPR, PCI-DSS, and Cyber Essentials Plus, manage risks, and support audits.

Requirements:

•Experience in IT management within retail or warehouse environments.

•Strong in vendor relations, service delivery, and technical support.

•Technical expertise in cloud systems, networking, enterprise software, and endpoint management.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Certifications: ITIL, Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or cybersecurity.
