Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and technology projects, assessing key risk areas and providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Perform risk evaluations and assurance work in engineering functions
• Implement creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process, from planning to reporting
• Present risk summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Understanding of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficiency in working with datasets and structured problem-solving
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
