Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) is seeking an Information Rights Team Leader to head APHA’s Information Rights service within the Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Team. You will oversee requests under FOI, EIR and the Data Protection Act, ensuring timely responses and compliance with statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

Experience working in an information rights service in the public sector.
Experience providing line and functional management support.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop APHA's Information Rights service to high standards.
Provide expert advice on information rights legislation to colleagues and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory expectations.
Oversee complex casework including internal reviews and ICO investigations.
Maintain and develop publication policies and guidance reflecting best practice.
Lead and support the team, fostering development and performance.
Act as lead user for the eCase system and promote information rights awareness.
