Job summary

Salford Council’s Information Governance (IG) Team is hiring a role to manage data protection requests and support compliance with GDPR, DPA 2018 and FoI. You will handle own caseloads, source records, and disclose information in line with the law.

Hybrid working patterns apply, based at the Civic Centre in Swinton with some home working. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience handling data protection or FoI requests.
• Knowledge of GDPR, DPA 2018, and FoI legislation.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of information requests.
• Source relevant records and disclose information lawfully.
• Log, allocate and coordinate requests for information.
