Job summary

NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board is recruiting an Information Governance Manager at Band 8a. The role is permanent and full time (37.5 hours/week) with a mix of 40% office-based work and 60% hybrid working. Salary range £57,528–£64,750 per annum, with the closing date 19/11/2026.

As part of the IG leadership team, you will shape the IG framework, support the DPO, and provide strategic IG advice across the ICB and GP Practices. A strong governance background is essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., ADPO, IG Society).

Responsibilities

• Lead IG consultancy for the ICB and GP Practices, providing guidance on data protection and information governance.
• Oversee compliance with UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and related IG standards, and support DSPT improvement across the ICB/GP Practices.
