Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Information Governance Officer to work with the Trust Secretary, Senior Information Risk Officer and Caldicott Guardian to develop IG policies and ensure standards are understood and adhered to.

The post holder will work with the Trust Secretary in relation to the Trust's self-assessment against national standards for Information Governance.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• GCSE English at minimum.
• At least 1 year experience in Law, FOI, IG administration.
• Knowledge of Subject Access Requests and Data protection.
• Previous NHS experience.
• Previous FOI experience.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will manage the Information Governance toolkit submission and advise leads on information required.
• Promote information governance awareness across the Trust and ensure compliance with NHS requirements.
• Act as the first point of contact for information governance matters.
• Provide IG training and written procedures for staff and induction sessions.
