Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd seeks an Information Governance Manager to lead the IG function within a new Children and Families Trust. You will provide expert guidance on UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, FOI, EIR, information security and records management, and act as Deputy Data Protection Officer.

You will supervise IG officers, drive DPIAs and information risk assessments, and build strong relationships with NHS, Police, Education and other partners in a complex public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering IG services in public-sector or regulated environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in IG/Data Protection or related field is desirable.
• High integrity with strong analytical skills and ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of Information Governance services.
• Provide expert advice on data protection, privacy, FOI, EIR and information security.
• Act as Deputy Data Protection Officer.
• Lead DPIAs, data sharing agreements, privacy notices and information risk assessments.
• Manage and develop IG officers, coaching and quality assurance.
• Support data breach management, investigations and improvement planning.
• Lead IG audits and assurance programmes and present reports to senior management.
• Oversee SAR, FOI and information rights processes.
• Build relationships with NHS, Police, Education and other partners.
• Provide IG guidance for new systems, digital projects and process changes.
