Role: Information Architect

Location: Macclesfield, UK

Hybrid: 3 days a week from office

We are looking for an Information Architect for our client, a global information technology services company specializing in digital engineering and technology services, offering solutions across various industries.

The (Enterprise Information Architecture) EIA practice is seeking an Information Architect that aligns with the Operations line of business, encompassing Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

The Operations Information Architecture team supports the following business capability areas:

• Develop: Development and commercialization of medicines emerging from R&D
• Plan: Supply chain planning and optimization
• Source: Procurement of externally sourced materials and contract manufacturing
• Make: Manufacturing and quality release of medicines in a validated (GMP) environment
• Delivery

The role will focus on defining and governing enterprise information architectures, strategies, designs, and models, consolidating thinking and artifacts across Operations, one or more projects/programs, to drive enterprise thinking and delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a Computer Science or Data Management related field.
• Experience leading and delivering enterprise data platform architectural thinking and its practical application.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience in conceptual and logical data modeling technologies.
• Experience defining and working with information and data regulatory governances.

Role-specific Skills:

• Blend of data/information architecture, analysis, and engineering skills.
• Knowledge of industry IT architectural patterns and methodologies (e.g., FAIR data principles, Data Mesh).
• Understanding data structures, technology based on business use cases, and data lifecycles.
• Experience designing and implementing data engineering/architectural blueprints.
• Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and their application.
• Understanding of Data Platforms and cloud-based strategies for hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with tooling such as metadata cataloging, data modeling, and EA tools.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh approaches.
• Experience working in matrix environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
