Role: Information Architect

Location: Macclesfield, UK

Hybrid: 3 days a week from office

We are seeking an Information Architect for our client, a global information technology services company specializing in digital engineering and technology solutions across various industries.

The (Enterprise Information Architecture) EIA practice is looking for an individual to align with the Operations line of business, which includes Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

The Operations Information Architecture team supports the following business capability areas:

• Development and commercialization of medicines emerging from R&D
• Supply chain planning and optimization
• Procurement of externally sourced materials and contract manufacturing
• Manufacturing and quality release of medicines in a validated (GMP) environment
• Delivery

The role focuses on defining and governing enterprise information architectures, strategies, designs, and models, and consolidating thinking and artifacts across Operations and projects to drive enterprise thinking and delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Data Management related field
• Experience in leading enterprise data platform architecture and its practical application
• Experience with conceptual and logical data modeling technologies
• Experience in defining and working with information and data regulatory governance
• Skills in data/information architecture, analysis, and engineering
• Knowledge of industry IT architectural patterns and methodologies (e.g., FAIR data principles, Data Mesh)
• Understanding of data structures and technologies based on business use cases, and familiarity with data lifecycles
• Experience designing and implementing data architecture blueprints
• Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and their application in commercial organizations
• Understanding of Data Platforms concepts and cloud-based strategies for hybrid environments
• Experience with tooling such as metadata cataloging, data modeling, and EA tools
• Familiarity with Data Mesh approaches
• Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
