Job summary

Public Sector Resourcing CWS is recruiting X3 Informatica Test Engineers for a 12-month Inside IR35 contract across UK offices (Blackpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham). The role is hybrid, with duties in testing ETL, data warehouses, and data integration projects for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You will review requirements, execute test scenarios, manage defects, and report progress to senior stakeholders. Strong SQL/Oracle and Informatica experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Oracle knowledge and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience testing Informatica PowerCenter or IICS.
• Experience testing SAS data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Familiar with Azure DevOps or JIRA for defect mgmt.

Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong SQL and database knowledge, particularly Oracle and data warehouse structures
• Experience testing Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) data integration solutions
• Experience testing SAS data pipelines, batch processes, and data transformations
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT testing methodologies and data warehouse testing principles
• Knowledge of test management and defect management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent
• Experience with test automation approaches for data and ETL testing

• Review business requirements and functional specifications, and define appropriate test conditions
• Execute test scripts, test scenarios, and test cases across various test stages
• Facilitate test planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities
• Perform defect management, triage, investigation, and support resolution activities
• Produce clear and concise test reports for stakeholders and senior management
• Validate source-to-target mappings, data transformations, reconciliation, and data migration activities
• Design and create synthetic test data to validate data quality, business rules, mappings, and ETL processes
• Identify, analyse, and resolve data quality issues including completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity
