Job summary

InvitISE Ltd is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for a central government department. The role is hybrid across multiple UK sites with around three days on site weekly.

You will own the testing strategy, oversee delivery of testing activities, and drive standardisation of testing practices across teams. The position involves leadership, stakeholder communication, and shaping tooling decisions.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer for a central government department, based across multiple UK sites including Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manchester, Blackpool and Leeds (hybrid) on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £600 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to spend around 3 days a week on site.

The successful Senior Test Engineer will define the overall testing strategy and provide technical leadership across multiple test engineering teams. You'll own delivery of testing activities against quality, time and cost objectives, act as the escalation point for defects and blockers, and shape test infrastructure and tooling decisions. You'll also drive standardisation and best practice by sharing reusable libraries, lessons learned and reporting approaches with stakeholders.
