Job summary

Nigel Wright Group is seeking a Global Infor Systems Administrator to own the operational management, administration and continuous improvement of the organisation’s global Infor environment.

Joining during the latter stages of implementation, you will work with the programme team to understand the platform ahead of go-live, then lead hypercare and establish processes for business-as-usual operation, governance and support.

Qualifications

• Experience administering or managing an Infor ERP within a multi-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of system administration, security, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting and integrations.
• Experience managing suppliers, contracts and service-level agreements.

• Owning day-to-day administration and long-term management of the global Infor CloudSuite environment.
• Ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, available and capable of supporting business-critical operations.
• Establishing and leading an Infor Centre of Competence and governance.
• Coordinating internal specialists, key users, technical resources and external partners across multiple locations.
• Developing a structured global support service covering incidents, problems, requests and changes.
• Managing system releases, upgrades, security updates, patches and enhancements.
• Overseeing integrations between Infor and other enterprise and manufacturing applications.
• Managing relationships with Infor and third-party service providers, including contracts and SLAs.
• Establishing effective governance, controls and technical standards.
• Supporting security reviews, compliance activity and audits.

Our client is an international manufacturing organisation operating across multiple countries and production sites. The business is undertaking a major digital transformation programme, replacing a fragmented legacy systems landscape with a single, globally integrated ERP platform.

The organisation is implementing Infor CloudSuite Aerospace & Defence across its operations and corporate functions. This includes Infor LN, EPM, WFM, HCM, XM and Infor OS, creating a common technology backbone across the group.

With the initial global launch planned for 2027, the business is now investing in the internal capability needed to support, govern and develop the platform over the long term. This is not simply an ERP implementation. It is the foundation for an ongoing programme of process improvement, automation, data-led decision-making and digital innovation.

Role

The Global Infor Systems Administrator will take ownership of the operational management, administration and continuous improvement of the organisation’s global Infor environment.

Joining during the latter stages of implementation, you will work alongside the programme team and solution architect to develop a detailed understanding of the platform ahead of go-live. You will then play a central role during hypercare and establish the processes, standards and support model required for business-as-usual operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the day-to-day administration and long-term management of the global Infor CloudSuite environment.
• Ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, available and capable of supporting business-critical operations.
• Establishing and leading an Infor Centre of Competence.
• Coordinating internal specialists, key users, technical resources and external partners across multiple locations.
• Developing a structured global support service covering incidents, problems, requests and changes.
• Managing system releases, upgrades, security updates, patches, configuration and enhancements.
• Overseeing integrations between Infor and other enterprise and manufacturing applications.
• Managing relationships with Infor and third-party service providers, including contracts, performance and service-level agreements.
• Establishing effective governance, controls, documentation and technical standards.
• Supporting security reviews, compliance activity and internal or external audits.
• Working with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvement and better use of data.
• Maintaining the platform roadmap and ensuring future investment supports the organisation’s wider digital strategy.
• Leading smaller improvement projects and coordinating geographically dispersed technical resources.
• Supporting future deployments, acquisitions and organisational changes affecting the global systems landscape.

This is an opportunity to shape how a newly implemented global platform will operate, rather than inheriting a fully established support model. You will have genuine influence over governance, service delivery, team structure and the future development of the system.

Person

The successful candidate will combine strong enterprise systems knowledge with the leadership and communication skills required to manage a business-critical global platform.

You are likely to have:

• Experience administering or managing an Infor ERP or similarly complex enterprise application within a multi-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of system administration, security, configuration, integrations, upgrades, troubleshooting and performance management.
• Previous responsibility for application support, service delivery or an ERP Centre of Excellence or Centre of Competence.
• Experience managing suppliers, support partners, contracts and service-level agreements.
• The ability to establish effective governance, change, release and support processes.
• Experience coordinating technical teams or resources across different sites and geographies.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to engage with operational teams, technical specialists, senior leaders and external suppliers.
• A good understanding of IT service management, continuous improvement and operational risk.
• Experience supporting systems through go-live, hypercare and transition into business-as-usual operation.
• A proactive, accountable approach and the ability to balance strategic development with hands-on operational priorities.

Direct experience of Infor CloudSuite, Infor LN or Infor OS is essential.

Experience within aerospace, engineering, industrial or complex manufacturing would be beneficial, although broader international ERP experience will also be considered.
