Job summary

Tank Recruitment seeks an ERP Lead to drive the ERP transformation in a large heavy-industrial manufacturing business. Based in the North of England, the role combines site presence with hybrid work as required and reports to IT, Operations, and CFO leadership.

You will own the Infor LN CloudSuite implementation, define the ERP roadmap, and work with Operations, Production, and Maintenance to embed standard processes across the shop floor. Strong change management is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading implementations of Infor LN CloudSuite.
• Strong background in manufacturing ERP, ideally heavy industrial or process manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Infor Process Catalogue (IPC) and standard Infor processes.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale change management in operational/shop floor settings.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes: production planning & scheduling, inventory/MRP, quality & traceability, costing & operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation and rollout of Infor LN CloudSuite across manufacturing, inventory, planning, production, quality and supply chain.
• Act as the primary ERP functional authority and own the ERP roadmap with upgrades and improvements.

Role Purpose

The ERP Lead will be accountable for the successful implementation, optimisation, and ongoing ownership of Infor LN CloudSuite within a large heavy-industrial manufacturing business. This role bridges IT, operations, and the shop floor, ensuring that standard Infor LN processes are adopted across the business, aligned with the Infor Process Catalogue (IPC) model, and embedded through effective change management.

The role requires a pragmatic leader who is comfortable driving significant operational change in industrial settings and challenging legacy practices to achieve standardised, system-led ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of Infor LN CloudSuite, ensuring alignment with standard Infor best practices and IPC-based processes.
• Act as the primary functional authority for ERP across manufacturing, inventory, planning, production, quality, and supply chain.
• Own the ERP roadmap, prioritising enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manufacturing & Heavy Industry Alignment

• Translate heavy manufacturing processes into Infor LN standard process flows.
• Work closely with operations, production, and maintenance teams to ensure ERP solutions are practical, robust, and scalable in a shop floor environment.

Change Management & Business Transformation

• Lead significant change initiatives on the shop floor and across operational functions, shifting the business from legacy or bespoke practices to standard ERP-driven processes.
• Challenge "workarounds" and customisation requests, driving adoption of standard Infor LN functionality wherever possible.
• Develop and execute change management, communication, and training strategies to ensure user adoption at all levels.
• Work with the ERP Change Manager to build change management strategy and plans, and to define and build required monitoring measures.

Process & Data Governance

• Implement and enforce consistent, end-to-end business processes aligned to the Infor IPC framework.
• Work with the internal Data Architect to assist with the definition and maintenance of master data standards, governance, and ownership.
• Work with the internal Data Architect to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and discipline across manufacturing and supply chain transactions.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Act as a key interface between business stakeholders, IT, and external Infor implementation partners.
• Provide clear functional leadership to consultants, internal ERP team members, and operational teams.

Required Experience & Skills

Essential

• Proven experience leading implementations and/or major deployments of Infor LN CloudSuite.
• Strong background in manufacturing ERP, ideally within heavy industrial or process manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience working with Infor Process Catalogue (IPC) and implementing standard Infor processes.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale change management in operational and shop floor settings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including:
  • Production planning & scheduling
  • Inventory & materials management (MRP)
  • Quality and traceability
  • Costing and operational reporting
• Ability to balance operational realities with the discipline required for ERP-led standardisation.
• Knowledge of MES, automation, or integration with shop floor systems.

Desirable

• Experience with cloud ERP transitions from legacy or on-premise systems.
• Experience working in unionised or safety‑critical industrial environments.
• Formal change management or continuous improvement qualifications.
