Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist in Infectious Diseases to advance projects using the ImmTAX platform and other modalities. You will design experiments, apply molecular and cellular techniques, and collaborate across Research and Development to drive preclinical progress.

The role requires a PhD (or equivalent), bench experience, and ability to work in a matrixed team while communicating results at internal meetings and external conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline with 0–2 years of related experience
• Alternatively, a BSc or MSc with significant work experience in relevant scientific areas
• Bench-based laboratory experience with key techniques: ddPCR, NextGen sequencing, Genomics/Transcriptomics, PCR, Mutagenesis, qPCR, cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISpots, ELISAs

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute assignments to meet project goals within defined timeframes
• Execute experiments addressing key scientific questions using molecular and cellular techniques
• Analyse data, interpret results, and contribute to decision making; present outcomes to teams
