Job summary

Oxford Immunocore, a pioneering T cell receptor biotechnology company, seeks a Scientist in Infectious Diseases to advance preclinical research on HIV, HBV, and EBV-related diseases. You will design experiments using NextGen sequencing, qPCR, flow cytometry, and related molecular techniques, contributing to pipeline advancement in a matrixed team.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline and 0-2 years related experience.
• Alternatively, a BSc or MSc with significant work experience in relevant scientific areas.
• Bench-based laboratory experience with proficiency in key techniques: molecular biology and immunology methods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute experiments to meet project goals within defined timeframes.
• Execute experiments addressing key scientific questions to enable project progression.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
• Present results at meetings and contribute to cross-functional collaborations.
