Job summary

Oxford Immunocore seeks a Scientist for Infectious Diseases to advance the ImmTAX platform and related modalities. The role involves planning and executing experiments across molecular and cellular techniques to support chronic infection programs, including HIV/HBV/EBV-related research, with cross-functional teamwork.

You will contribute to data analysis, attend internal meetings, and help push the pipeline toward clinical development within an innovative biotech environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years related experience; bench-based laboratory environment required.
• Experience with molecular techniques including ddPCR, NextGen sequencing, Genomics/Transcriptomics, PCR, mutagenesis, qPCR.
• Ability to culture primary cells or cell lines.
• Knowledge of Immunology, HIV, HBV, EBV is preferred.
• Experience with flow cytometry, ELISAs and ELISpots.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute experiments to support project goals within timeframes and budget.
• Analyse data, interpret results and make recommendations.
• Work in a matrixed team and present results at internal meetings.
