Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a proactive Infection Prevention support role to assist in delivering the regional Improvement Plan and to lead key audit activities across the hospital environment. You will contribute to surveillance and ensure visibility of infection prevention materials across wards and departments.

The role requires flexibility, readiness to undertake infection prevention training, and the ability to work under supervision with the Infection

Qualifications

• Evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Infection Prevention team with the delivery of the Infection Prevention Improvement plan.
• Lead in Infection Prevention audit activities (environmental monitoring, hand hygiene, isolation, care bundle) and report findings to the Infection Prevention Sister.
• Undertake surveillance activities including basic data collection (demographics, device utilization etc).
• Ensure Infection Prevention posters and other materials are displayed correctly across the hospital.
• Assist in other duties as appropriate to competency.
• Organise and prioritise workload with direction and supervision of the senior members of the Infection Prevention Team.
