Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking an Industry Liaison Officer to join our new Bench Street Arts Campus in Dover. The role focuses on securing and monitoring work placements, acting as the employer-relations touchpoint, and supporting employer events for student engagement.

You will also work with students to identify employability gaps and help them develop skills to complete placements successfully. This is a 30-hour per week role for 37 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject is desirable or equivalent sector experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to build positive relationships and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Secure and monitor progress of work placements for students.
• Act as main point of contact for employer relations for relevant areas.
• Support planning and implementation of employer events and visits.
• Ensure employers return required documentation in a timely fashion.
• Support students to identify and develop employability skills gaps.
