East Kent Colleges Group is seeking an Estates Assistant at our Folkestone site. You’ll be responsible for securing buildings, managing alarms, and supporting a range of caretaking duties to keep the campus safe and welcoming.

The role includes on-call shifts, routine checks of fire alarms and emergency lighting, and collaboration with contractors. A proactive, reliable approach and local commuting distance are important.

Qualifikationen

• Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns.
• Good organisational skills to keep operations running smoothly.
• Experience with monitoring fire alarm and emergency lighting systems; knowledge of Legionella preferred.

Aufgaben

• Unlock/lock buildings as a key holder and participate in on-call rota.
• Set/unset intruder alarms and perform regular fire and emergency lighting checks.
• Check core infrastructure and equipment in a timely manner.
• Support caretaking, maintenance, portering duties and staff on site.
• Liaise with external contractors to ensure compliance and maintenance.
