Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking an Industrial System Designer to drive co-design of industrial systems for rear fuselage installations, collaborating with global teams across plants and design offices.

In this role you will define cascaded requirements, develop verification and validation plans, and support ramp-up or recovery projects, leveraging lean methods and advanced digital tools to optimize material flows and production processes.

Qualifications

• Co-Design & DFM: Proven experience in structural assembly, systems installation, and aligning aircraft design with physical manufacturing constraints.
• Digital Tools: Proficiency and daily use of Google Suite is mandatory for this role.
• Lean Manufacturing & Value Stream Transformation: Strong background in Value Stream Analysis, defining industrial structure breakdowns, and optimizing main material flows.
• Industrial Systems Engineering & V&V: Experience defining Top-Level Industrial requirements and creating robust Verification & Validation plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, alignment, and stakeholder collaboration to co-design industrial system changes with global teams and departments.
• Build concepts and technology selection to improve industrial architecture, material flow, and production efficiency.
• Define and integrate Top-Level Industrial and manufacturing requirements; create the Industrial V&V plan and schedule compliance means.
• Assess industrial performance metrics (FoM), workload sizing, lead-time, and industrial costs for optimization.
• Lead continuous improvement and knowledge capitalization across programs, plants, and finance.
