EDF UK is seeking an experienced industrial safety expert to provide leadership and guidance across the site, ensuring robust safety arrangements and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in safety culture. In this role you will offer health and safety advice to line management, monitor performance, and develop compliance programmes.

The position requires knowledge of HSE frameworks and UK safety legislation relevant to nuclear power operations.

Formación

• Knowledge of HSE regulatory framework and UK safety legislation relevant to nuclear power stations.
• Detailed knowledge of driving and improving safety culture within a high-risk organisation.
• Ability to positively challenge and coach and communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsabilidades

• Support effective risk identification and management processes.
• Promote a positive safety culture and greater safety awareness.
• Monitor and report industrial safety performance and identify countermeasures for adverse trends.
• Ensure compliance with site safety management arrangements and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain a compliance evaluation programme for industrial health and safety.
• Maintain the register of legislative compliance arrangements for the site.
• Support investigation of events and address root causes within CAP.
• Advise on industrial safety training needs and support delivery of training.
• Promote a positive industrial safety profile by spending time in the field.
• Liaise with regulators and external bodies on industrial safety matters.
• Participate in fleet-wide safety improvement initiatives and campaigns.
