Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Industrial Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join our Manchester-based team. You will prepare accurate estimates for industrial roofing and cladding projects, review drawings, and develop detailed cost breakdowns to support tender submissions.

Applicants should have proven experience in estimating, a strong commercial sense, and proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for industrial roofing and cladding projects.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, bills of quantities and tender submissions.
• Identify potential commercial risks, value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, market conditions and industry developments.
• Support the commercial team during tender negotiations and project handovers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join a growing team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in the industrial roofing and cladding sector to join an established business with a strong pipeline of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for industrial roofing and cladding projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Calculate material, labour, plant and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, bills of quantities and tender submissions.

• Strong commercial awareness and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
