Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in cladding or building envelope sector.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of project costs and margins.

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for cladding projects.

About the Company

Our client is an established specialist contractor operating within the building envelope and fa ade sector, delivering solutions across aluminium and PVC windows, aluminium curtain walling and cladding systems.

With an established offering in fa ade construction, the business is looking to strengthen its estimating team with an experienced Cladding Estimator who can support the pricing and delivery of projects while contributing to the continued development of its cladding portfolio.

The Role

As Cladding Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for cladding projects, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal commercial colleagues to develop detailed tender submissions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with cladding knowledge to take ownership of tender enquiries, build strong supply chain relationships and help secure new project opportunities. You will play an important role in assessing project requirements, identifying suitable solutions and ensuring tenders are priced accurately and competitively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for cladding projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation to establish project scope and requirements.
• Carry out accurate material take-offs and quantify labour, materials and associated installation costs.
• Obtain, review and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
• Identify suitable project opportunities and support tendering and commercial reviews.
• Assess project costs, risks, exclusions and potential value-engineering opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure tender submissions are accurate, competitive and commercially viable.
• Manage multiple tender enquiries and ensure submissions meet required deadlines.
• Support the successful handover of secured projects to the operational and commercial teams.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within cladding, fa ades or the wider building envelope sector.
• A strong understanding of cladding systems, materials and installation methods.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates, undertaking take-offs and producing tender submissions.
• The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and margins.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and supporting business growth.
