Job summary

Honeywell South Africa in East London is seeking a Robotics Automation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced robotic systems and automated lines at our manufacturing facility.

You will work with FANUC, KUKA or ABB robots, perform preventative maintenance, calibrate sensors, and ensure safety and quality standards while collaborating with engineers. A National Diploma or BTech in Mechatronics or related field is required, with 3–5 years of automation experience.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or BTech in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years direct experience in industrial automation.
• Experience with FANUC/KUKA/ABB robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial robotic arms and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI issues.
• Calibrate sensors, actuators, and vision systems.
• Integrate new robotic modules into production lines.
• Maintain technical logs and documentation for upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
