Job summary

ST TALENT is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer in a highly automated manufacturing environment in the UK. You will maintain, fault-find and continuously improve automated machinery and robotics, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in automated settings and 3+ years working with ABB and/or KUKA robot arms, plus strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in automated manufacturing
• 3+ years' experience with industrial robot arms ABB/KUKA
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Good understanding of mechatronics
• Experience reading engineering drawings
• Experience with CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across automated manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and control-related faults
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems
• Work with ABB and/or KUKA robot arms
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Support fabrication and engineering modifications where required
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and attention to detail
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the site's maintenance processes and technology
