Job summary

ST TALENT are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Leeds for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining a highly automated plant, with a focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

The role involves fault-finding, planned and reactive maintenance on automated equipment, including ABB and/or KUKA robot arms, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience working within an automated manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years' experience working with industrial robot arms, ideally ABB and/or KUKA.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• A good understanding of mechatronics.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Fabrication experience.
• Expertise with CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and control faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support fabrication and engineering modifications where required.
• Work with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
