Job summary

Industrial Refrigeration Design Engineer role based in Essex with hybrid working options. The role offers a salary of £60,000–£80,000 DOE plus a Company Car or Car Allowance and benefits.

You will design bespoke industrial refrigeration solutions from concept through to detailed design and project delivery, with exposure to NH3 and CO2 systems across food manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background within industrial refrigeration design.
• Experience with ammonia (NH3) and/or CO2 refrigeration.
• Competent with refrigeration calculations, equipment selection and system design.
• Able to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications.

• Design industrial refrigeration systems from concept through to detailed design
• Carry out refrigeration load / heat load calculations
• Select and specify refrigeration plant and equipment
• Undertake pipe sizing and develop refrigeration system layouts
• Work with ammonia (NH3), CO₂ and industrial refrigeration systems
• Liaise with clients, consultants, equipment manufacturers and suppliers
• Work closely with sales, estimating and project teams
• Provide technical support and problem solving throughout project delivery

An established industrial refrigeration specialist is looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Design Engineer to join its engineering team.

Working predominantly across food manufacturing, food production and temperature-controlled environments, you will design bespoke industrial refrigeration solutions from initial concept through to detailed design and project delivery.

The Role

• Design industrial refrigeration systems from concept through to detailed design
• Carry out refrigeration load / heat load calculations
• Select and specify refrigeration plant and equipment
