West Fraser is seeking an Industrial Millwright to support the Allendale OSB Division by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing or replacing equipment to keep production running.

This on-site, 12-hour rotating shift role requires reading blueprints, aligning motors and pumps, using precision tools, and adhering to safety rules. Benefits and opportunities to grow within the company are offered.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Three years or more of experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience with fabrication, cutting with a torch, and welding with an arc welder.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating schedule including nights weekends holidays.

Aufgaben

• Work involves a wide range of maintenance duties using electronic diagnostics, equipment, and precision instruments.
• Diagnose malfunctions by sight, sound, or actions of machinery.
• Operate or test equipment to verify corrections.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and replace components during preventive maintenance.
• Adjust mechanisms and operate test equipment.
• Remain current with technical changes and equipment designs by training.
• Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Maintain safety rules and wear protective equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
