Job summary

Grand River Personnel Limited is seeking a licensed Millwright for a permanent full-time role in Cambridge. The job covers installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, notably CNC mills and lathes, with day shift options.

The ideal candidate has a Millwright license and at least 5 years of experience, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work independently while traveling between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a Gr. diploma and Certificate of Qualification/ Millwright license.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Industrial Millwright.
• Experience maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery (Mills and Lathes).
• Knowledge of safety standards for equipment.
• Physical ability to lift and handle equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible with good interpersonal skills for diverse environments.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to PPE and health and safety practices.
• Familiarity with 5-S and workplace organization.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance reporting.
• Own tools: steel-toed boots and required tools.
• Willingness to travel between sites.
• Able to pass background checks.

Job description

Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Licensed Millwright to join their team in a permanent full-time position on the day shift!

The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in the facility. Types of machines involved will be large CNC Mills and Lathes.

Excellent compensation package including hourly rate between $.-. per hour, vacation, health and dental benefits, Health spending account and company matching pension plan!

This position is on the day shift from 7:am-3:pm with flexibility on start times, to start earlier and leave earlier depending on the work!

Qualifications:

• Minimum Gr. diploma AND Certificate of Qualification/ Licensed as an Industrial Millwright are a MUST.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright
• Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment including CNC and conventional machinery. (Mills and Lathes)
• Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to pounds.
• Ability to perform tasks that require a high degree of accuracy
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Dedicated to health and safety at work and committed to wearing the required PPE.
• Understanding and experience with 5-S Activities and general workplace organization and cleanliness.
• Experience with a CMMS and ability to complete maintenance reports.
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and tools as required
• Ability to travel and work between several sites when needed.
• Ability to complete and clear extensive background checks.
