Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Engineer to maintain and repair plant and equipment at Huntworth Mill. The role focuses on fault diagnosis, planned maintenance, and safety improvements in a dusty, noisy heavy manufacturing environment.

Permanent, full-time position with a 45-hour week and shift pattern. You will contribute to safe, efficient feed production supporting British agriculture and undergo ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments.
• Familiarity with conveying systems (screw conveyors, chain & flight conveyors, belt bucket elevators) and pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Good IT and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, reliable and team-oriented.
• Able to work in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments with reasonable adjustments.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mole Valley Farmers. About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week, working a shift pattern

As an Industrial Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of mechanical maintenance and engineering across our plant and equipment. You’ll diagnose and repair faults, deliver planned maintenance, and support projects that improve efficiency and safety. Working in a heavy manufacturing environment that can be dusty and noisy, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted feed production for our farming customers.
