Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a Maintenance Support role in Wales to assist technicians with set-ups, basic mechanical tasks and general housekeeping across a busy site.

The role involves operating MEWPs and forklifts, adhering to safety procedures, and reporting hazards promptly. It emphasizes proactive, safe work habits within an industrial environment and offers training where needed.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical experience; a mechanical qualification is desirable.
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices; relevant safety qualifications desirable.
• Effective communication and teamwork; report hazards clearly.
• Experience in general housekeeping in an industrial environment.
• MEWP/forklift or other operating experience; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians with general maintenance tasks, including job set-up, lifting, equipment preparation and basic mechanical work.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the site, including the effluent plant grounds, vegetation, workshop and other operational areas.
• Operate MEWPs and forklifts to support maintenance activities, following appropriate training and safety procedures (training will be provided if required).
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, provide updates on tasks and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.
• Work proactively and safely in an industrial environment, using initiative to support site improvements and maintain high health and safety standards.
