Job summary

United Parcel Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust plant floor devices, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

You will sort calls, expedite repairs, and provide information to maintenance mechanics for effective problem resolution. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics of conveyors and automation systems, and installation or upgrade of machinery and control panels.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair breakdowns in sortation system, facility and automation systems.
• Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly to emergencies.
• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, and control panels.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance, including bearings, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, sensors, relays, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in sortation equipment.
• Assist in installation of new machinery and facility equipment.
• Upgrade existing systems to improve efficiency and compliance.
