Job summary
UPS at East Midlands Airport is seeking a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep conveyor and facility systems running smoothly. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and collaborate with teams to improve reliability and performance in a busy package handling environment.
The role involves a 3-week shift rotation and full-time hours; prior experience with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and SCADA is highly valued.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3+ in engineering; mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding preferred.
- Fault-finding and repair skills for conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with SCADA and diagnostics tools is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and servicing of conveyor systems to identify issues.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor and facility systems.
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems on sortation equipment.
- Respond to equipment failures and diagnose faults to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment performance.
