Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for the Whatley site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment, aiming to minimise downtime and support improvements.

The role requires fault‑finding and electrical skills with experience in an industrial setting; SAP PM experience is advantageous. Expect weekend/night work during planned maintenance, and a competitive salary with overtime.

Qualifications

Recognised electrical qualification.
Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic experience within an industrial environment.
Computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
Flexible approach to working hours when operational requirements demand.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing faults and carrying out electrical repairs on plant and equipment.
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise operational reliability.
Supporting plant inspections, maintenance shutdowns, and improvement projects.
Assisting with the implementation and commissioning of capital projects.
Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety, IMS, and site procedures.
Recording maintenance activities using SAP PM systems.
