Job summary

JPW Mechanical & Electrical is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with a strong electrical background to join our team. You will diagnose faults, repair, perform planned maintenance and install industrial and commercial laundry machines across the UK.

You will work independently at customer sites, servicing washing machines, washer extractors, ironers and conveyors, and liaising with customers to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing faults on industrial equipment.
• Ability to carry out repairs, PM and installation of machinery.
• Comfortable working at customer sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing faults on laundry machines.
• Attend breakdowns and fault-finding calls.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Fault-find using schematics and test equipment.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Install and commission new laundry machines.
• Assist with relocations and recommissioning.
• Set up automated laundry systems and wiring tests.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, subcontractors and customer teams.
