Job summary
McLaren Automotive Ltd invites applications for a 12-month Industrial Placement in its IT & Digital Core Technology team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking. You will gain hands-on experience across core technology platforms within a high-performance automotive environment and develop commercial awareness and confidence in a fast-paced tech function.
You will spend the year embedded in a core specialist team, contributing to operational objectives and projects that improve reliability,
Qualifications
- Currently studying towards a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Eager to learn about infrastructure, cloud services, cyber security and IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Embed in one of the core specialist IT teams for a year, contributing to key operational and strategic objectives.
- Support maintenance and enhancement of McLaren's core technology platforms and services.
- Gain exposure to IT Operations, Infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, Cyber Security and End User Computing.
- Assist with monitoring, support and continuous improvement of business-critical systems and services.
- Investigate technology issues, identify root causes and contribute to problem resolution.
- Support delivery of technology projects to improve reliability, security and user experience.
- Participate in cyber security awareness, governance and compliance activities.
