Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer for a permanent hybrid role based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. You will design and implement monitoring and control systems using embedded Linux platforms and industrial hardware.

The role involves integrating sensors, data acquisition, and control architectures, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers, and exploring new technologies to enhance products and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing embedded systems in commercial or research settings.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Delphi and industrial automation tools (e.g., TIA Portal with Ladder Logic or SCL).
• Experience with sensors, data acquisition and industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build bespoke embedded monitoring and control solutions.
• Develop robust, maintainable software and hardware components.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical engineers and external partners to deploy sensor networks and control architectures.
• Explore new technologies to enhance products and engineering capabilities.
