Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is assisting a beachside employer near St Ives, UK, to find an Electronics Engineer for rugged industrial electronics. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and quality-control existing systems while gaining deep product knowledge through direct handover from an experienced engineer.

The role spans digital and analogue domains, emphasising analogue nuances, PCB design, and serial communications.

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in digital and analogue electronics.
• PCB design and layout experience.
• Familiarity with serial communications (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Microchip PIC development experience is a bonus.
• Exposure to closed-loop radio communications (LoRa) is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and quality-controlling existing electronic systems.
• Building deep working knowledge of established products through direct handover from an experienced Electronics Engineer.
• Working across both digital and analogue systems, with a focus on analogue nuances.
• Supporting PCB-level and serial communications work as part of day-to-day engineering.
