Job summary

Wright Engineering in Worksop is recruiting a Construction & Installation Estimator to join our team. You will strengthen the bid content with practical methodologies, labour and plant allowances, programmes and lifting strategies, while ensuring a deliverable scope from complex enquiries.

The role combines hands-on site understanding with structured estimation: reading drawings, producing buildable installation plans, and developing credible estimates for major and smaller tenders.

Qualifications

Strong practical experience of industrial construction and installation.
Ability to read drawings and develop a safe construction sequence.
Experience estimating labour, plant, craneage, and access.
Understanding site productivity and realistic method vs desktop assumptions.
Excellent written and numerical skills; proficient in Excel and planning tools.

Responsibilities

Attend client sites and tender meetings to understand access and constraints.
Develop installation methodologies, lifting strategies and sequencing.
Build labour, plant, and preliminaries allowances with clear estimate basis.
Take ownership of smaller installation tenders from review to handover.
Support major bids with programme and resourcing input.
