Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd on Teesside is seeking a Junior Estimator to support the preparation of quotations and tender submissions for fabrication projects. You will work with experienced estimators and report to the Proposals Engineer to build accurate costs.

This is an excellent entry point for developing technical, commercial and estimating knowledge within a practical engineering environment, with close collaboration across estimating, engineering, production and planning teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering, manufacturing, construction or related discipline (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Good numerical and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries and technical drawings to assist cost estimation.
• Support preparation of material, labour and subcontract cost estimates.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering and procurement teams to gather information.
• Assist in tender documents and cost databases maintenance.
• Develop understanding of fabrication processes and costing models.
