Job summary

WrightBuild is delighted to be partnering with a well-established Earthworks & Civil Engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator & Senior Estimator for civil projects across the UK. This role is based in Cambridgeshire.

You’ll take ownership of the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with operational teams, suppliers and clients to produce commercially competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within Earthworks, Groundworks or Civil Engineering.
• Strong understanding of first-principles estimating.
• Experience using estimating software such as ConQuest, Causeway, Candy CCS or similar.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and digital take-off software.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong reputation for delivering earthworks, enabling works and civil engineering projects across the UK. Working within an experienced pre-construction team, you'll play a key role in producing accurate, competitive tenders, identifying value engineering opportunities and helping secure a strong pipeline of profitable work. If you enjoy pricing complex projects from first principles and have a solid understanding of earthworks methodologies, plant, materials and construction techniques, we'd love to hear from you.
